Tourist Information

Talgar district and the Talgar Valley itself are the most picturesque places in the Almaty region. Part of the territory is located on the territory of the Ile-Alatau Nature Reserve within the Zailiysky Alatau mountain range. At the foot of Talgar Peak, there is the Talgar base climbing camp (Burevestnik sports community) from which the mountain is climbed.

The Talgar Valley consists of three parts, the Left Talgar, the Right Talgar and the Middle Talgar. There are hiking mountain routes in all parts, both with ascents to the peaks and just mountain hikes to the upper reaches of the Talgar River. We recommend traveling around the region in the summer, July, and August, as well as winter climbing routes.
