Aktau (White Mountain) the city is located on the Mangyshlak peninsula on the shore of the Caspian Sea, there is a seaport in the city. Because of its importance to the nuclear industry, the city was established as a "closed city" in the late 1950s. From 1964 to 1991, the city was named Shevchenko (named after the 19th-century Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko). The port on the Caspian Sea, built in 1963, serves both the economy and passenger traffic. Among other things, there are ferry connections with Russia, Baku (Azerbaijan) and Iran.
Aktau is the base for a large part of the Kazakh fleet. This field has been expanding since 2001, as a result of which about 5,000 members of the Navy were admitted in 2010. Naval equipment is given for Kazakhstan with 10 fighter planes, two small coastal ships, three Mi-8 helicopters and six Mi-2. Most of this equipment is located in Aktau.

Departure from the hotel 09.00 The Aktau city tour includes a visit to the Annunciation Church, which was built in 2000, a visit to the Intymak city square, then we will drive to the Astana city square. We will visit the monument to the ship of Columbus, which is called Santa Maria, we will visit the memorial sign on the embankment of the city of Aktau, and the monument to Kurzhimanuly Kashagan (the great poet of Kazakhstan). The monument to Taras Shevchenko (Ukrainian poet and artist), which is also located on the shore of the Caspian Sea, offers a beautiful panorama of the sea from here. After that we will visit the Mangystau State Historical and Cultural Reserve, the city Historical Museum, then we will visit the gallery of modern art called the Ark. A visit to the Beket-Ata mosque, a visit to the monument to the Mangystau wars who died in the Great Patriotic War. A walk along the Caspian Sea embankment. Lunch at a local restaurant, return to the hotel.
