The distance from the village of Lepsy to Lake Zhasylkol is 15 km. The Agynykatty River falls into the lake, the water in the lake is turquoise. The water in the lake is very cold, if desired, you can swim in Lake Zhasylkol, but it is recommended not to sail far from the shore. The water temperature in summer is 10 degrees Celsius.
Lake Zhasylkol is located in a mountainous area, so it is best to travel to the lake by 4x4 jeeps. There is also no tourist infrastructure on Lake Zhasylkol, so you need to bring all the necessary equipment for the installation of a base camp, tents, sleeping bags, kitchen equipment, etc. The distance from the main parking place and our base camp to Lake Zhasylkol is 9 km. A mountain trail leads to the lake, which crosses a dense coniferous forest, beautiful forest clearings and a birch forest. We recommend traveling to Lake Zhasylkol with a guide who knows the area well, and you can also use the services of a local guide on the spot.
