Almaty apple city – Small Almaty gorge – Prosveshenec gorge and tract – Kok Jaylayu tract – Almaty apple city
The Kok-Zhailau mountain tract is located on the territory of the Ile-Alatau State National Natural Park, located from east to west between the Small and Large Almaty gorges, 10 km from the city of Almaty in Kazakhstan. The absolute height of the tract is 1450-1740 m above sea level. Kok-Zhailau is famous for the fact that here you can actively relax, hike both from the side of the Big Almaty Gorge and the Small Almaty Gorge.
The route to Kok-Zhailau is not difficult, but it still requires sports training, we also recommend traveling here with a mountain guide who knows the area well. The most popular route starts from the Small Almaty gorge from the side of Prosveshchentsa (mountain base Prosveshchentsa). There are Three Brothers rocks above Kok-Zhailau, which you can also climb, but it will take extra time. There are gazebos and tables for relaxation on Kok-Zhailau.
