Aisha Bibi Mausoleum Tour -
Aisha Bibi Mausoleum is an outstanding architectural monument of the XI-XII centuries. The building is lined with ceramic slabs, and the ornament has no equal among other memorial and traditional monuments of Kazakhstan in luxury and diversity. The mausoleum is richly decorated with various geometric figures. Next to the mausoleum of Aisha-bibi is another famous mausoleum of Babaji-khatun.

Aisha-bibi Mausoleum is located in Zhambyl region, Zhambyl district, 18 km from the city of Taraz, the village of Aisha-bibi.

Information -
Aisha bibi Mausoleum is included in the UNESCO list. The construction of the mausoleum began in 1897. The mausoleum was studied in 1938-39 by the expedition of the Kazakh branch of the History and Material Culture of the USSR headed by A. N. Bernshtam, in 1953 by the expedition of the Kazakh Academy of Sciences.
Architecture -
The shape of the Aisha-bibi mausoleum building is square, the area is 7.6 x7. 6 m. The corners are reinforced with pillars. In the center of the mausoleum there is a tombstone (3x1.4 m). The western side of the wall and columns are lined with carved small tiles. The entrance is located on the east side. A pointed arched cube is made in the center of the wall. The surface of the cube is stylized as a wall with small columns. The top of these columns is a solid block decorated with a bluish pattern. The walls of the mausoleum (80 cm thick) consist of three parts: the inner, lined with baked bricks, the outer, lined with carved mosaic tiles, as well as the space in the center of the wall filled with clay tiles and tile fragments. To increase the strength of the walls and columns, a juniper tree beam is placed on the inner side of the wall.
