Gorelnik is a hot water spring located at an altitude of 1900 meters above sea level in the mountains of Almaty. The source can be visited for free and is open from morning until evening. Water is supplied to the source from a well whose depth is 250-300 meters. The composition of the water is silicic acid and hydrogen sulfide, the water temperature is quite high, 20 – 27 °C, you can bask in this water and stay there even in winter. Radon water has a healing effect on the human body; water helps with skin diseases and inflammatory processes in the body, lowers blood pressure, and fills the human body with strength and energy. In addition to the hot spring, there is a sports ground nearby for exercise. The source was renovated and the area around was improved, and changing cabins were built.

The thermal spring Gorelnik is located in the mountains of Almaty in the Maloalmatinsky mountain gorge, between the Medeo sports complex and the high-mountain ski station Shymbulak. You can get to Medeo by bus No. 12, bus stop opposite the Kazakhstan Hotel on Dostyk Street, or use the Yandex Taxi taxi service. From Medeo you can walk to Gorelnik or rent an electric bike; there is also a shuttle bus running from Medeo to Shymbulak, which takes you to the Gorelnik stop.
