The Ai River is located in the Taskesken District of East Kazakhstan Region and is one of the most picturesque rivers in the region. Originating on the western slopes of the Tarbagatai Range, the river flows through a variety of landscapes, from a distinct valley in the upper and middle reaches to a flat plain in the lower reaches. Its length is 152 kilometers, and the width of the channel varies from 10 to 12 meters. The main tributaries are the Karasu River, the Kyzylkura River, the Ushkaty River, the Baipa River and the Keneli River. The river and surrounding areas attract travelers with their natural beauty, peace and quiet. Here you can enjoy untouched nature, watch birds and take great photos. The river is fed mainly by snow, which makes spring and early summer the most affluent time. On the way to the river, you can see the Tarbagatai ridge, which impresses with its panoramic views, as well as salt marsh areas where the river disappears.
