Tour to Jaksikilish Lake - Korkit Ata memorial, Jaksikilish village, Aralsk city

We will meet in the city and go to the Almaty airport for a flight to Kyzylorda. Upon arrival in Kyzylorda, we are greeted and we head to the hotel. After staying at the hotel, we are going on a sightseeing tour of the city, which will begin with a visit to the regional Museum of Local Lore, which was established in 1939. After this tour, we have lunch at a local restaurant.

Then we will go to the Korkyt Ata memorial. He is a legendary Turkic songwriter and composer of the ninth century, who came from the steppes located along the Syr Darya River. He was a very multifaceted personality: an akyn, a poet, a storyteller, a composer and a great musician, the creator of kobyz. After that, we will go to the main square called Tagzym, and then visit the monument dedicated to Gani Muratbayev, a famous public figure, founder of the Komsomol in the Kazakh SSR, which is located on the forecourt.

Next, we will go to the architectural monument of national significance – the Aitbaya mosque, and immediately after that we will visit the Holy Kazan Orthodox Church, which was opened in 1896. Then we will visit the Syr-Ana monument, the embankment of the Syrdarya River and the monument dedicated to the Great Patriotic War, and we will finish our trip around the city with a sightseeing tour. We have dinner at a cafe and return to the hotel for a rest.

After breakfast, we leave the city for the village of Terenozek, the road will take 66 kilometers and on the way we will pass two villages: Akzharma and Shagan. After reaching Terenozek, we go to the regional museum of local lore. After visiting the museum, our way lies to the village of Zhalagash, thirty kilometers from Terenozek. In this village we will also visit the regional museum of local lore, in which we will be interested in two halls, an ethnographic one and a collection of antique weapons.

Then we will go to the main square, where there are monuments to Burkabai Batyr and those who died in the Second World War. After lunch at a local cafe, we will visit the Korkyt-Ata memorial complex, which is located 115 kilometers away. After the tour of the complex, we will also visit the mausoleum of the same name.

Next, our way lies to the village of Aiteke-Bi (formerly Kazalinsk). The route will be 156 kilometers long, and we will pass by Baikonur. When we reach the village of Aiteke-Bi, we check into a hotel, have dinner and relax.

After we have breakfast, we will visit a guided tour and the museum of Gani Muratbayev, as well as visit various monuments and the mausoleum of Karasakal Yerimbet. After visiting the mausoleum, we will visit the Ganibai house and the Nogai Mosque, both buildings of the nineteenth century, then we will visit the building of the regional house of culture, named after Rosa Baglanova, which is a former church built in 1904. Next, we will have a trip to the settlement of Zhankent, which is located near the village of Orkendeu.

Arriving in Zhankent, we walk around the settlement. The sources mention that it originated in the first centuries of our era and was a large trading point on the caravan route from Central Kazakhstan to Khorezm and the Volga region. Then we return to the village of Aitek-Bi and have lunch at a local cafe. Now the road to the city of Aralsk, 130 kilometers long, awaits us.

When we get to Aralsk, we stay in a guest house. First of all, we will stop at the city museum and the museum dedicated to fishermen, and then we will visit and inspect the railway station and the surrounding monuments. After the railway station, we will stop at the Museum of ships of the Aral Flotilla.

Then we will visit several monuments, including the monument to Abulkhair Khan and the monument to Zhibek and Tolegen. After that, we will visit several more sights of the city of Aralsk, such as the stele "Kazakhstan", the monument to the fisherman and the horse of Przhevalsky, our tour will end with a visit to the alley of heroes. After finishing the tour, we have dinner at a local cafe, and go on vacation to a guest house.

After breakfast, we leave for the village of Zhaksykylysh, and from there we will travel by UAZ to the salt deposit of the same name. After examining the salt mining site, we return to the village of Zhaksykylysh, after which we will have an excursion to the factory where the extracted salt is packaged and processed.

After visiting the factory, we will go to the village of Zhalanash, bypassing the city of Aralsk, our road will lie to the northwest, and after about five kilometers from the city, the asphalt road stops, and then we will travel by grader to the village of Zhalanash 63 kilometers from Aralsk. About thirty kilometers from the village, on the left side of the road, we will see the beautiful cliffs of the Saryshoky tract, the northern ledge of the Small Aral Sea, and stop to take photos.

We reach the village of Zhalanash, and drive up to the house where the camels are being prepared for our further trip to the cemetery of the Lost Ships. Before the trip, we are treated to tea according to Kazakh traditions at the camel owner's house. Along the way, we photograph local flat-roofed houses and villagers engaged in their crafts. The camel ride to Zhalanash Bay will take six kilometers.

There was a drainless salt lake called the Aral Sea, of which nothing remains now. After we finish our camel ride, we go to the ships and take photos. Returning to the village of Zhalanash, we have lunch at the house of a local resident. After lunch, return to the city of Aralsk. Departure from the city of Aralsk.
