Aktogay Canyon is a picturesque canyon, it is a continuation of Charyn Canyon. The canyon has a trapezoidal shape and reaches three kilometers wide and 200 to 300 meters deep. The name of the canyon means "white stream" in translation from the Kazakh language. The Charyn River flows through the canyon, the canyon is part of the Charyn National Nature Park and Reserve and is located on the territory of the Uygur, Rayymbek and Enbekshikazakh districts of Almaty region.

Aktogay Canyon is a very picturesque natural formation, traveling to the Charyn Canyon, you can also visit this canyon. The descent into the canyon is dangerous, we do not recommend going down into it, but only admire it from the top of the main plateau along which it passes. To see the Aktogay Canyon, there are several panoramic points from where you can do this, as well as from these points you can take beautiful photos of the canyon. Trees grow along the river in Aktogay Canyon in summer, which gives it an unusual beauty against the background of steppe and desert terrain.
Aktogay tract -
The Aktogay tract stretches from southwest to northeast for 3 kilometers along the left (northern) slope of the Albatross Canyon on the Charyn River. This section of the canyon is interesting for sports rafting, it starts from the Zhalasai tract. The Zhalasai tract is located on the right bank of the floodplain of the Charyn River in the west, and stretches more than 8 kilometers to the east. In Albatross Canyon there are several difficult thresholds of a high category of difficulty to pass, which require the highest skill of athletes. The surroundings of the tract offer magnificent panoramas and views of the canyons of the Charyn River. There are about four such points from which fascinating pictures open up to bottomless canyons with steep, vertically falling rocks.
