Tour from Almaty to Tashkent
Tour from Kazakhstan (Almaty) to Uzbekistan (Tashkent) or vice versa. This tour is a journey through Central Asia and includes both countries.
This trip can be done in both directions, depending on where you are or which country you start your journey from.
We recommend starting this trip from Almaty, Kazakhstan, but if you are in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, we can organize the tour for you from there. Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are located near each other and share a border. Travel is possible by land or air, with both air and ground connections available.
This tour includes visits to the sights of both countries and visits to the main cities of Almaty and Tashkent.

Tour itinerary:
Arrival in Almaty, we meet at the airport, transfer to the Kazzhol hotel. We rest, have breakfast, then go on a city tour, which will include a visit to the 28 Panfilovtsev Park, the Cathedral, the Museum of musical instruments, the National Museum of Kazakhstan, Republic Square (popularly New Square) and, of course, the Medeo tract.
After the tour, we have lunch at a local restaurant and then take the funicular to Kok Tobe Mountain. We walk around the neighborhood and admire the evening Almaty from a bird's-eye view. After Kok-Tobe, we return to the hotel, have dinner and relax.
Bolshoe Almaty Lake (BAO) – Otrar train (Tulkubas station).
After breakfast, we will go to the Great Almaty Lake, located at an altitude of 2,511 meters above sea level, 15 km south of the center of Almaty. After reaching the lake, we walk along the shore.
After the walk, we will have a picnic in a clearing near the lake. After finishing our meal, we head back to Almaty. Next, we will have a transfer to the Almaty-2 railway station, and a train route to Tulkubas station, 680 kilometers away. The journey will take 13 hours. Dinner and overnight on the train.
Tulkubas station – Zhabagly village – Aksu-Zhabagli Nature Reserve (Aksu Canyon).
After reaching Tulkubas station early in the morning, we will be transferred to the village of Zhabagly, 18 kilometers from the station. When we get to the village, we stay in a guest house and have breakfast. Next, we will have an excursion to the Aksu Canyon, located in the Aksu-Zhabagli Nature Reserve. The road to the canyon, 25 km long, will pass through the village of Rayevka and the Dadabai hunting cordon.
After reaching the place, we begin the descent into the canyon, which will take us about half an hour. We walk along the canyon, get acquainted with the local flora and fauna, take photos and start climbing back. After an hour and a half, having reached the top of the canyon, we return to the village of Zhabagly. We have dinner and relax in the guest house.
Aksu-Zhabagli Nature Reserve (horseback riding in the Kishi-Kaindy gorge).
After breakfast, we go to the place where we will start riding. We ride horses to the base, the house of the Kishi-Kainda botanists, which is located at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level.
Our path will run along the slope, where the Zhabagly River murmurs below. Moving along this road, we will enjoy the beautiful views of the gorge. After 7 kilometers, having reached the place, we have lunch boxes.
After lunch, we ride to the waterfall located on the Kishi-Kaindy River. After visiting the waterfall, we go back to the village of Zhabagly, have dinner and relax in the guest house.
Zhabagly village – Sairam village – Shymkent city – Shaulder village – Arastanbab Mausoleum – Otrar settlement – Turkestan city (309 km).
After finishing breakfast, we drive to the village of Sairam. After driving 91 kilometers, we reach the village of Sairam. In the early Middle Ages (IX - XII centuries), the city of Ispijab was located on the site of Sairam, which was the center of the district of the same name, which was part of Transoxiana. We will have an excursion tour of the monuments of the village, and we will also visit the mazar of the parents of the outstanding poet and religious mystic Khoja Akhmet Yassawi - Karashash ana (18th century), Ibrahim ata (13th - 19th centuries), Abdel Aziz Baba (15th - 19th centuries), Khoja Talig (13th - 19th centuries), Mirali Baba (late 19th - 20th centuries), medieval minaret of Khizr (13th - 19th centuries).
After the tour, we drive to the village of Shaulder, passing the city of Shymkent on the way, having reached the village, we have lunch at a local cafe, then we visit the Otrar Museum, which will tell us the story of the excavations of the ancient settlement of the same name. From the village of "Shaulder" we drive to the settlement of Otrar through the village of Kogam.
In the ancient settlement of Otrar, we will visit the excavations and see a medieval bathhouse, a residential area, a mosque and fortress walls. After Otrar, we will visit the Arstanbab Mausoleum. Next, we will visit the Arstanbab mosque and arrive in the city of Turkestan, where we will stay in a hotel, have dinner and spend the night.
Turkestan city – Tashkent city (285 km).
We have breakfast and go on an excursion to the mausoleum of Ahmed Yasawi. We visit the historical museum of Azaret Sultan, then we will go to the cultural and ethnographic center and the archaeological museum, after that we will visit the Darvaza gate (XVIII - XIX centuries), the mausoleum of Yessimkhan (XVI century), the mausoleum of Rabiya Sultan Begim (late XV century), then our way lies to the khanak mausoleum of Ahmed Yasawi (XII - XIV centuries), the Zhuma mosque (1878), the Hilovat underground mosque (XII - XV centuries), the eastern baths (XVI - XVIII centuries), Bolshoy Hilvet (XII century), Chillakhane (XIV century), and at the end we will visit the excavations of the Kultobe settlement (XIV century). and hilvet Aulie-Kumchik ata (12th century). We will have lunch in the city cafe.
After lunch, a transfer awaits us: Turkestan city – Shymkent city - Zhibek Zholy checkpoint/Gyusht Kuprik" (Kazakh-Uzbek border and customs post), arrival in Tashkent.
