Korgalzhyn is a lake in the Nurinsk basin. Area 330 km2, length 33 km, width 21 km, average depth 1.6 meters, depth 3 m. The Nura River flows into the lake, which fills the lake along with the spring snowmelt. Most of the basin is arable, the rest is pasture. The lake is inhabited by carp, crucian carp, perch, pike, wild boars are found in the reed thickets.

Also, when visiting the reserve, it is necessary to stop by the office of the reserve and warn the local rangers, and pay the entrance fee for entering the territory of the reserve.
