Excursion to the Khan's headquarters "Bokei Ordasy" -
Zhangir Khan is a mausoleum, an architectural monument, a sacred sacred place and a place of pilgrimage in Western Kazakhstan. The mausoleum was built in 1997 and is a modern building built on the burial site of Zhangir Khan, the founder of the Bukey Horde, a hero, a descendant of Genghis Khan, and is part of the Khan Ordasy memorial complex. The mausoleum stands on a hill, a large rectangular foundation is laid under the mausoleum, and an arch is installed in front of the entrance to the mausoleum. The mausoleum building has a square base, the roof is crowned with a round dome in the shape of a helmet. The mausoleum is especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset, at which time the mausoleum takes on a bright red color.

Zhangir Khan was the khan of the Bukey Horde, a batyr, and during his reign he paid special attention to the issue of settling the country, opening schools and educating children. He opened a school in his palace, where 60 people gave lectures on religion and studied Russian writing and language. The fairs that arose in the Bukey Horde during the organization of Jangir Khan and subsequently spread throughout Kazakhstan represent a special phenomenon in the development of the country’s economy of that time. Zhangir Khan received a European education, brought up in Russia, taught the administrative management of the Khanate, taking the reins of government in 1823, and implemented the policy of the tsarist government in western Kazakhstan.
