The Cathedral in honor of the Resurrection of Christ is the building of the Russian Orthodox Church, the main cathedral of the region and the city of Kokshetau (Kokchetav). An incredibly beautiful building, topped with several golden domes and a bell tower with a long spire, there is a Sunday school nearby. The first stone of the foundation of the cathedral was laid in 2015 by the Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan. Construction was carried out on a site allocated by the city authorities in a new microdistrict on the shore of Lake Kopa. Construction began on April 12, 2016, and the dome was installed on the building in March 2017. On December 2, 2020, on the day of memory of St. Philaret of Moscow, the cathedral was consecrated by the Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan. Construction was financed by donations from companies, institutions and individuals.

The Church of the Resurrection of Christ is located on the shore of Lake Kopa, in the north of the city of Kokshetau, Nazarbayev Avenue 71, Akmola region, Republic of Kazakhstan.

Information -

The cathedral in honor of the Resurrection of Christ has a square base in terms of the nave, with a bell tower adjoining it on the eastern side. The nave has rotundas at the four corners, decorated with a golden dome. Each of these rotundas has eight windows. In the center is a central dome, also set on a rotunda with twelve windows. All columns between the rotunda windows are decorated with flat Corinthian pilasters. The bell tower starts at the level of the roof eaves and is also square in shape with a round part at the top. The end is a dome with a gold tip. The tower contains twelve bells cast in Tutaev, Russia. The bells were consecrated on April 9, 2017 and were installed in the bell tower over the next two days.
