The Tekturmas Mausoleum is a monument of architecture, history and culture, a sacred, sacred place and a place of pilgrimage in the Talas district on the site of an ancient city of the beginning of the Middle Ages. The mausoleum was built here in the 14th century, in ancient times it was completely destroyed and lost, but there are records of where this mausoleum was. Over time, the Tekturmas mausoleum was reconstructed from a photograph taken in the 80s of the 19th century and a new mausoleum was erected at the ancient site. From the top of Tekturmas hill, where the mausoleum is located, a majestic panorama of the Zhambyl region and the city of Taraz opens. When the ancient settlement of the beginning of the new era was here a long time ago, there is no exact dating, presumably it was in this place that the modern city of Taraz was born.

The Tekturmas Mausoleum is located on the right bank of the Talas River, on a high hill, which is also called Tekturmas, near the village of Kyzylaryk and the city of Taraz, Talas district, Zhambyl region, Republic of Kazakhstan.

Information -

The vaulted mausoleum of Tekturmas was built on the grave of the Sultan of the holy (aulie) Sultan Mahmut Khan, the foundation has a square base, the upper part is domed, made of burnt red brick. The entrance of the mausoleum faces west, decorative columns are placed at the corners of the building, and the walls are plastered. In the mausoleum of Tekturmas in the second half of the XIX century, V.A. Kallaur, and in 1939-1940 G.I. Patsevich conducted a study. In 1986, the surroundings around the ancient burial site were fenced off and a memorial plaque with the appropriate name was installed, and in 2002, a local businessman A. Momyshev restored the mausoleum of Tekturmas at his own expense.
