The first school was in the city of Arys and was opened in 1922 to educate the children of workers. In those years, along with the construction of Turksib, great promising changes were undertaken in the city of Arys. For the first time, on January 17, 1928, the Arys district was created on the basis of villages near the village of Arys and the population of this village. The Great Patriotic War began when the Kazakh people experienced so many difficulties and were barely breathing. The soldiers who went to defend their homeland from Arysya showed unique moments of courage, many of them were awarded orders and medals and became Heroes of the Soviet Union. Beysen Seitenuly Ontaev, Bergen Isakhanov, Sadyk Ismailov, Ivan Zhurba, Nagi Ilyasov are heroes of the Soviet Union.
