Information -
The nature of the Kaindy Gorge is striking in its diversity. Here you can see dense coniferous forests, alpine meadows and rocky cliffs that create a unique mountain relief. In spring and summer, the slopes of the gorge are covered with a carpet of wild flowers, including the famous Greig tulip and Kaufman tulip, and in autumn nature plays with all shades of gold and crimson, which also makes this area very attractive. The gorge is located in the northern spurs of the Tien Shan at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. The climate here is sharply continental - in the summer during the day +15 ... +25 ° C, at night it gets sharply cold to +5 ... +10 ° C. In winter, frosts reach -20 ° C, the lake partially freezes. The Kaindy River, which gave the name to the gorge, originates in glaciers and is distinguished by crystal clear water. In some places, its bed forms small waterfalls and cascades, adding even more charm to this place. The animal world is also rich here: marals, roe deer, and rarely snow leopards live in the forests. Birds include golden eagles, bearded vultures, and hawks. There are no fish in the lake due to the low temperature and mineralization. Along the banks grow thickets of sea buckthorn, rose hips, wild currants, and coniferous forests grow everywhere. Travelers who come to the gorge can enjoy not only hiking, but also horseback riding, which is especially convenient for those who want to cover more places in one day. You can also set up a campsite and spend the night under the starry sky, enjoying the silence of the mountains.
The Kaindy River Gorge is a place where you can feel the real power of nature, take a break from the bustle of the city and discover the amazing world of the Kazakh mountains. Regardless of the time of year, it will leave an unforgettable impression on everyone who decides to visit it.
