Information -
Lake Borovoye has always inspired poets, artists and travelers. The lake is surrounded by a scattering of legends and tales. Locals call it the "Pearl of Kazakhstan", and this is not an exaggeration. According to one of the ancient legends, when Tengri created the Earth, he gave the peoples of the plain the steppe, and Borovoe is the last precious gift that accidentally fell from his hands and remained here forever. The waters of the lake are clean and transparent, and on clear days you can see the rocky bottom through them. In summer, the lake warms up to comfortable temperatures, becoming an excellent place for swimming and active recreation. Dense pine forests stretch along the banks, and rocky giants grow on the horizon, such as the Okzhetpes and Zhumbaktas rocks, each of which keeps its own special history. The lake is home to perch, bream, carp, pike and roach. Fishing in the lake is prohibited.
The Okzhetpes rock, rising straight out of the water like a petrified ship, has become a symbol of all of Borovoye. According to legend, it got its name ("Unreachable by a spear") when brave warriors tried to hit it with spears, but in vain. This rock is a monument to the resilience and beauty of nature, which impresses even the most sophisticated travelers.
Borovoye is an ideal place for lovers of nature, tranquility and active recreation. Here you can go hiking, climb the surrounding peaks, take a ride on a catamaran or boat, fish or just settle down in a cozy clearing in the shade of centuries-old pines, enjoying the peace and quiet. And in autumn, the lake is especially beautiful: the forests are painted in golden, scarlet and crimson tones, reflected in the mirror of the water and creating unforgettable pictures. For guests of the region, there are recreation centers, hotels and sanatoriums. Borovoye is also famous for its healing climatic conditions: the air, filled with phytoncides of coniferous trees, has a beneficial effect on health, strengthens the immune system and restores strength.
Lake Borovoye is a place where you want to return again and again. Here everyone will find something special for themselves: some - inspiration, some - peace, and some - adventure. It seems to give the opportunity to forget about the bustle of the world for a while and feel like a part of great nature.
