Krasnaya Polyana (Red Glade) is a beautiful mountain meadow, located in the Left Talgar Gorge at an altitude of 2367 meters above sea level. The meadow is a favorite place for recreation in the mountains, lovers of active recreation come here to live in the mountains, spend time, relax and meet friends. The meadow is convenient for setting up a base camp, it is surrounded by a beautiful coniferous forest, the meadow is located on the famous mountain route "Almaty Mountain Around the World". You can get to the meadow from the Bolshoy Talgar Pass (3200), to which the Medeo - Shymbulak cable car leads. The air here is filled with bird songs and smoke from fires. Krasnaya Polyana has equipped places for pitching tents, there are benches and places for making a fire and even a bathhouse next to which there is a small dam on a stream, in which you can swim if you want (the water in the stream is very cold, several degrees). Everyone collects water in this stream, this water is absolutely clean and you can drink it.
Also, the stormy Left Talgar River flows next to Krasnaya Polyana, on its bank you can watch the rapid water and listen to the noise of the river. The glade is the place of the so-called mountain party, in the summer there is always someone living here, always someone from the vacationers plays the guitar in the evening. People from different camps on the glade visit each other, get to know each other, treat each other to food and tea, spend time, sing songs around the fire. Usually people go to the glade for two days, but if you want, you can stay in the glade for a longer time, it all depends on your desire.
