Asy is a high-altitude plateau, a landmark of the Almaty region is located in the Enbekshi district above the Turgen mountain gorge at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level. There is a mountain road along the Asa plateau that goes to the Bartogai reservoir, it is possible to drive here only by 4x4 jeep. The Asa Plateau is very popular among the local population and visitors from abroad.

On the Asa plateau there is a high-altitude observatory for stargazing, here you can look at the stars with a telescope if you decide to spend the night on the plateau. A small and very picturesque river Asa flows along the plateau. The Asa Plateau is part of the Ile-Alatau National Natural Park, the entire territory is protected, fishing and hunting are prohibited here. Also, on the Asa plateau, it is necessary to observe the rules of visiting not to litter, clean up the garbage, do not make bonfires.
