Hiking trekking in Komissarovskoye mountain gorge along the Kimasar River -
Kimasar is a picturesque mountain gorge formed by the Komissarovka River, a place for active recreation and a popular mountain route to Furmanov Peak (3053). The famous swing is installed in the gorge at an altitude of 2600 meters above sea level, where people go and take beautiful panoramic photos and videos. The length of the Kimasar gorge is 6 kilometers, a mountain trail runs along the gorge, along which you can climb the Komissarovsky mountain pass, which connects the Kimasar gorge and the Butakovka gorge, and Mount Serkebay is located nearby. The pass is open for walks both in summer and in winter. There are two small private ski slopes in the gorge. In winter, you can go skiing here. Furmanov Peak is the most popular mountain in the vicinity of Almaty, which is climbed every day. The route is not difficult and is suitable even for novice travelers. Furmanov Peak is named after Dmitry Ivanovich Furmanov, the commissar of the 25th Chapaev Military Division. The Kimasar River (Komissarovskaya) is the left tributary of the Malaya Almatinka River. The path to the gorge begins from the Medeu tract, where the Medeu sports complex is located, where a large ice rink operates in winter.

The Kimasar Gorge (tract) is located 15 kilometers from Almaty in the Zailiyskiy Alatau Mountains, Maloye Almaty Mountain Gorge, Ile-Alatau Park, Medeu District, Almaty Region, Republic of Kazakhstan. The ascent to the gorge begins from the Medeu sports complex on the eastern side.
