History and information -
The very first name of Nursultan Peak was Maloalmatinsky Peak, it was named after the Small Almaty mountain gorge in which it is located. This gorge was a younger brother of another equally famous natural object, the Big Almaty Gorge, in which the Bolshoy Almatinsky Peak and the Big Almaty Lake are located. After the 1935 Alpiniad, the peak was renamed Komsomol Peak, then in 1998 the peak was renamed Nursultan Peak. The peak is located in the heart of the Almaty region, surrounded by stunning mountain nature. The slopes are covered with alpine meadows, and above there are harsh stone plateaus. Near the peak flows the mountain river Malaya Almatinka, fed by glaciers, and you can also find dense coniferous forests, which are home to many animals and birds. The climate in the area of the peak is sharply continental: in summer the temperature can reach a comfortable +15 ° C, but at night it drops below zero. In winter, the summit is covered with a thick layer of snow, creating ideal conditions for lovers of winter climbing. Nursultan Peak is not only a challenge for climbers, but also a great place for nature lovers and recreation. The grandeur of the mountains, fresh air and enchanting landscapes make climbing this peak an unforgettable adventure.
