The Big Almaty Gorge is a landmark in the mountains of Almaty, there is an ecological post at the entrance to the gorge, where you need to pay an ecological cash fee for travel to the mountains (500 tenge per person). You can only get to the new dam in the Ayusai tract, it is forbidden to go further by car, it is possible to travel only by bicycle, electric bike or on foot. Traveling through the gorge, you can visit the Sunkar center, hunting birds, eagles, falcons are bred here, there is an animal nursery, a hotel, a restaurant, shows with birds of prey are held in the nursery. The Alpine Rose Hotel is located up the gorge, where you can rent a room and stay overnight. In the foothills of the gorge near the city there are many bars, cafes and restaurants where you can taste dishes of national and European cuisine. It is strictly forbidden to light bonfires in the gorge. It is also strictly forbidden to litter and leave garbage.
