Peak of the Patriotic War is a mountain peak located at an altitude of 4070 meters above sea level in the mountains of the Trans-Ili Alatau Mountains, belongs to the high-mountain cirque Tuyuksu. The peak is very popular due to its inaccessibility among fans of active recreation, mountain hikes, climbers and rock climbers. This mountain has become not only a geographical object, but also a symbol of respect for the feat of the people during the Great Patriotic War. The difficulty category of the route to the peak is 1B, 2A, there are three routes to the mountain. Mountain ascent to the summit can take from two to three days and starts from the glaciological station Tuyuk-Su T1, where you can set up a base camp. You can climb to the station on foot from the high-mountain base Shymbulak through the mountain tract Mynzhilky along a mountain road or by car. The ascent to the top requires climbers to have teamwork skills and skills in working with special mountaineering equipment. The first mountain ascent to the peak of the Patriotic War was made on September 17, 1944 under the leadership of V. Nearonsky, the team consisted of: Z. Volkova, L. Karapetyan, P. Semenov, B. Sigitov, G. Shur.
