The Tuyuk-Su Gate is a picturesque mountain tract, translated from Kazakh means "stuck water", located at altitudes from 2300 meters to 2940 meters above sea level and belongs to the valley of the Malaya Almatinka River. The tract is home to the famous Tuyuk-Su mountaineering camp, where young people are trained in mountaineering skills. The tract got its name due to its narrow passage between mountain peaks and summits. The tract is also known for being located just above the Shymbulak high-mountain base, from which hikes to the mountains up the Tuyuk-Su tract are usually made. The tract is very popular among fans of active recreation and mountain hiking, there are many different routes, including difficult ascents to the peaks.

In the Tuyusk-Su tract there are such mountain peaks as: Vorota Tuyuk-Su peak (3438), Medic peak (3485), Mount Pribornaya (3340), Chasovaya mountain (3230), Oktyabrenok peak (3450), Abay glacier and Mount Asker (3250). Other attractions in the tract include the Black waterfall, the Tuyuk-Su spring and Three Bastions, as well as a memorial to climbers "To those who died in the Mountains".

The Tuyuk-Su tract is located 30 kilometers from the city of Almaty, on the northern slope of the Zailiyskiy Alatau ridge, the Maloye Almatinskoye mountain gorge, Ile-Alatau Park, Medeu district, Almaty region, Republic of Kazakhstan.
