One-day hike to the tract Tuyuk-Su from the Chimbulak base -
Sights of the Small Almaty Gorge and the Zailiysky Alatau Mountains -
Tuyuk-Su is a mountaineering sports camp located in the mountain tract Tuyuk-Su at an altitude of 2700 meters above sea level in the picturesque mountain gorge Bolshoe Almatinskoe through which the Bolshaya Almatinka River flows. The alpine camp and sports base were opened back in the USSR, the alpine camp "Tuyuk-Su was" was opened at the sports society "Lokomotiv" another similar camp "Talgar" was opened at the sports society "Metallurg". The tract Tuyuk-Su, where the alpine camp is located, is located at altitudes from 2300 to 2900 meters above sea level. Here around there are mountain routes and peaks of various difficulty categories, which are of great interest both for beginner climbers and for climbers with experience in mountain climbing. Participants are accommodated in the Tuyuk-Su alpine camp; they can stay in four-person stationary tents or small residential trailers. The tract where the Tuyuk-Su alpine camp is located attracts fans of active recreation, the path here starts from the Medeo tract, where the Medeu sports complex and the Medeu mudflow protection dam are located. On the way to Tuyuk-Su, you can visit the Gorelnik thermal hot spring and the Shymbulak high-mountain base where you can ski in winter. If you go up the Bolshoe Almatinskoe gorge from the Tuyuksu alpine camp, you will reach such mountain passes as the Talgar pass (3163), the Abay pass (3065), the Pioneer pass (3840), the Tuyuk-Su pass (4100), the Molodezhny pass (4147). On the mountain moraine, where the famous Tuyuk-Su glacier is located, a small mountain house has been built, which serves as a mountain shelter for climbers. The house serves as a starting point for a large number of peaks and crossings through passes that lead to the Ozernaya River valley and the Left Talgar mountain valley.
