Kazachka Gorge – also known as Terisbutak Gorge, a picturesque mountain gorge located at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level. The gorge is one of the small gorges adjacent to the Big Almaty gorge. The Kazachka River (Teristbutak) flows through the gorge, which originates in the mountains of the Trans-Ili Alatau. The gorge and the river are very popular, and you can get there by car and camp on the riverbank. Along the river there are many equipped places for recreation, in the summer they even swim in the river, the river is not big and not stormy. The left turn into the gorge is located just behind the ecological post in the Bolshoe Almatinskoe Gorge, just above the birds Sunkar nursery. (In the nursery you can watch a show with birds of prey that takes place there every day according to the schedule). The Kazachka gorge got its name from the village that was located there, now this village has been renamed the village of Kokshoky. A mountain route runs up the gorge from the Kumbel hotel, along which you can access the beautiful Kok-Zhailau mountain plateau and then descend into the Small Almaty gorge. From Kok Zhailau, you can climb Three Brothers Mountain and Kumbel Peak. You can also take a walk on the plateau to the Battery Waterfall, formed by the Battery River. You can also descend from the plateau to the Kamensk plateau via another mountain route. This location is very interesting and suitable for lovers of outdoor activities and hiking in the mountains, available both in summer and in winter.

Teristbau Gorge (Kazachka) is located in the mountains of the Ile-Alatau National Natural Park, mountains of the Trans-Ili Alatau, Almaty Nature Reserve, Bostandyk district, Almaty region, Republic of Kazakhstan.
