Mountain hike to the top of the Three Brothers

Three Brothers go to the rocks through the Big and Small Almaty gorges -

Three Brothers Rocks, a mountain peak, is located at an altitude of 2850 meters above sea level, it is one of the control points on the way to Kumbel peak (3200), a place of active recreation, a natural landmark near the city of Almaty. This location is reached through the Kok-Zhailau tract both from the Small Almaty Gorge, here the ascent is a little steeper and more difficult, and from the Big Almaty Gorge, through the Kazachka Gorge, here the ascent is more gentle and easy. The Three Brothers Rocks are three rocks of different sizes that abruptly come out of the mountain range, they stop here for rest, from this location there is a magnificent panorama of the city of Almaty and the surrounding mountains of the Trans-Ili Alatau and Ile-Alatau Park.

If desired, you can climb further along the ridge from the three Brothers and reach Kumbel Peak, but this also requires time and effort. The ascent from the start of the route to the Three Brothers can take 8-10 hours in both directions, the ascent to the Kumbel peak from the Three Brothers can take 1-1.5 hours. Calculate your time and effort, if you want to climb to Kumbel peak, you need to be on the route at 6 a.m., also keep an eye on the weather and choose sunny, clear days. Be sure to use the services of certified mountain guides, they will prepare you for a hike in the mountains and guide you safely along the route.

The top of the Three Brothers rock is located in the mountains of the Trans-Ili Alatau near the city of Almaty, above the tract-the Kok-Zhailau plateau, Almaty region, Republic of Kazakhstan.
