Information -

Teacher Peak (Teacher) got its name in 1957 in honor of representatives of one of the most important professions – teachers. The idea to name the peak after the teachers belonged to a group of climbers who wanted to emphasize the importance of their work. Teachers, like mountains, are a pillar for society, helping people rise to new heights of knowledge and achievements.
This name has become a symbol of respect for those who devote their lives to the upbringing and education of the younger generation. Our teacher reminds us that knowledge is the foundation of progress, and teachers are guides to the world of wisdom.
The main route to Uchitel Peak requires basic climbing skills. Climbing involves climbing over rocks, snowy areas, and scree, and in winter you may need special equipment: crampons, ice axes, and ropes. The path to the peak starts from the Tuyuk-Su alpine camp, which makes it convenient for planning a hike. The peak is considered one of the most difficult peaks to climb in the Trans-Ili Alatau. Routes to the top require good physical fitness, mountaineering experience, and special equipment. The main difficulties are associated with steep slopes, glaciers and changeable weather, which can change in a matter of minutes in the mountains. For those who are not ready to climb to the top, there is an opportunity to make trekking to the foot of the peak. This will allow you to enjoy the beauty of mountain nature, glaciers and alpine meadows.
Uchitel Peak (Teacher) is not just a mountain, but a symbol of wisdom, respect, and the pursuit of knowledge. He reminds us how important it is to appreciate the work of teachers who help us rise to new heights. For residents and visitors of Almaty, this peak remains one of the most inspiring places to return to again and again.
