Ayutas Rock (Pakhomovka) in Burabay

Interesting places to visit in Borovoe -

What is the best thing to see and visit in Burabay -

Among the endless expanses of the Akmola region, in the area of the village of Burabay (Borovoe), the mysterious and unusual Ayutas Rock rises above the pine forest. Translated from the Kazakh language, "Ayu-Tas" means "Bear Stone" - and not by chance. If you look at the rock from afar, you can notice how a mighty bear seems to be hiding in its outlines, sitting on its paws, watching the steppe for hundreds of years. In the Soviet years, the rock received its name in honor of General Pakhomov, who founded one of the first summer cottages for recreation here. Skakala is located on the shore of Lake Borovoe (Auliekol) and is one of its most visited and interesting natural attractions. The rock is part of the Burabay National Nature Park and is under protection. In the area of the rock on the shore of the lake there is a small sandy beach where you can relax, swim in the lake and take beautiful photos. In addition to this rock in the lake itself there is a rock-island Zhumbaktas where you can walk by boat or catamaran. Also near the lake is the famous mountain-rock Okzhetpes which is the hallmark of the park.

Information and legend -

The place where the Ayutas (Pakhomovka) rock is located is filled with a special atmosphere. A lonely granite mass, standing out from the flat landscape, seems to guard the peace of these places. The rock seems to attract you - you want to come closer, touch its rough surface, feel the breath of time and the power of nature. According to local legends, a long time ago a shaman lived in these parts who could turn into a bear. He protected the area from evil spirits and strangers. One day, in order to stop the disaster, he turned to the Great Spirit with a request to sacrifice his flesh and strength, and turned into a stone - the same Ayutas, so that after death he would continue to protect the land of his people. The picturesque nature of northern Kazakhstan spreads around the rock. In the spring, wild tulips and steppe grasses bloom here, the air is filled with freshness and aromas. This is a great place for photo sessions, meditation, leisurely walks and, of course, for those who like to discover little-known, but amazing corners of their country.
Ayutas Rock (Pakhomovka) is not just a geological object, but a living symbol of the steppe spirit, the wisdom of the earth and the power of nature. And if you happen to be nearby, don’t miss the chance to feel this place with your heart.
