Information -
Shkolnik Peak received its name in 1957 in honor of schoolchildren - young explorers and future conquerors of the peaks. This name has become a symbol of respect for those who are just beginning their journey to knowledge and discovery. Schoolchildren, like climbers, strive for new heights, overcoming difficulties and achieving their goals. The name of the peak reminds us that each of us was once a schoolchild, and it is at school that we receive basic knowledge that helps us to conquer life's peaks in the future. The peak is considered one of the most accessible peaks for climbing in the Zailiysky Alatau. The routes to the peak are suitable for climbers with a beginner level of training, but still require good physical fitness and basic mountain tourism skills. If you do not want to go to the top, you can admire the mountain views from the Bolshoy Talgarsky Pass. The peak attracts not only climbers, but also outdoor enthusiasts. In the vicinity of the mountain there are several tourist centers and campsites where you can stay before climbing or just enjoy nature.
Shkolnik Peak is not just a mountain, but a symbol of youth, curiosity and striving for new heights. It reminds us of how important it is to value knowledge and never stop on the way to your goals. For residents and guests of Almaty, this peak remains one of the most inspiring places to which you want to return again and again.
