Peak of Soviet Alpinists is a mountain peak located at an altitude of 4378 meters above sea level in the Trans-Ili Alatau Mountains. The mountain is very popular among outdoor enthusiasts, mountain hikers and climbers from all over the world. The difficulty category of the route to the mountain is 1B, 2B, and starts from the Big Almaty Lake, which is located in the Big Almaty Gorge. Another route passes through the Left Talgar Gorge with the beginning of the route on the Big Talgar Pass and goes along the famous mountain route "Almaty Around the World" through the Tourists Pass with a visit to such attractions as the Alpine Rose Glade and the Sunny Glade, which are located in the valley of the Left Talgar River. This route is accessible in both directions, depending on your preferences. Next to the peak of Soviet Alpinists there is another famous peak Molodaya Gvardiya, it can also be visited while traveling along this route, but it will take more time.
The peak of Soviet Alpinists was named after the "Soviet climbers" who made a huge contribution to the development of mountaineering in the USSR. In the 30-40s of the 20th century, Soviet climbers actively explored mountainous areas, laid new routes and made first ascents to the most difficult peaks. This name symbolizes courage, camaraderie and the desire to conquer inaccessible heights.

How to get there and visit -

The peak of Soviet Alpinists is located between the Left Talgar gorge and the Bolshoe Almatinskoye gorge in the area of the Tourists Pass, Ile-Alatau Park, Almaty region, Republic of Kazakhstan.
