Peak Manshuk Mametova is a mountain peak located at an altitude of 4194 meters above sea level in the upper reaches of the Small Almaty gorge next to Lake No. 6 Manshuk Mametova and the Manshuk Mametova glacier. The most beautiful mountain peak is one of many natural attractions, a place for active recreation, a place for mountain hikes and mountaineering practice. The peak is named after the hero of the Great Patriotic War, a woman soldier-machine gunner Mametova Manshuk Zhiengalievna. The hike to the peak starts from the high-mountain base Chimbulak, which can be reached by electric taxi, electric buses from the high-mountain sports complex and the Medeo skating rink, or by the Medeu-Chimbulak cable car. The Malaya Almatinka River flows through the gorge, and there is also the Tuyuk-Su tract, the Mynzhylki tract and the Mynzhylki weather station, and you will also see the famous Alpingrad glade.
A mountain route leads to the peak of Manshuk Mametova, difficulty category 1B, passes through the top of the Antikainen peak. The route requires mountaineering skills, the ability to work in a team, the ability to work with special equipment on snowy and rocky terrain. The route is quite long, good physical fitness is needed, the route requires the use of special equipment such as: a safety system, a helmet, a rope, a jumar, carabiners. Usually, this route is passed in two, with an overnight stay on Lake Manshuk Mametova, snow and ice ascents of difficulty category 2A and 2B are also possible. From the peak Manshuk Mametova opens a beautiful mountain panorama of the Zailiysky Alatau mountains, you will see the Molodezhny peak, Pogrebetsky peak, Komsomol peak, Karlytau peak, Ordzhonikidze peak, Aristov peak, 28 Panfilov Guardsmen peak and many other peaks.
