The meadow is very popular among fans of active recreation and mountain hiking in the mountains around the city of Almaty. The path to the meadow begins from the Mynzhylky tract in the Small Almaty gorge, where the Malaya Almatinka River flows. You can walk to the Alpingrad meadow in one day, the place is easily accessible and very beautiful. The meadow is very convenient for setting up a tent or a small camp, you can stop here for the night or stay here during the day.

The Alpingrad mountain glade is located 1 hour walk from the Mynzhylky tract in the upper reaches of the Malaya Almatinka River, Medeu district, Almaty region, Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Alpingrad mountain glade is famous for sheltering travelers from the wind and offering a gorgeous panorama of such natural attractions as the Manshuk Mametova glacier, the Tuyuksu glacier, Kumbel peak, the Lokomotiv glacier, the Kosmodemyanskaya glacier, etc. Here you can take beautiful photos and shoot videos. If you go further through the Manshuk Mametova pass, you will get to the Alpine Rose glade. There is a three-day route through this area that covers all the attractions of the Small Almaty gorge and its upper reaches. From the Alpingrad glade, climbers make their ascents to Amangeldy Peak, Pioneer Peak,28 Panfilov Heroes Peak, Manshuk Mametova Peak, etc. Near the glade is moraine lake No. 6. In addition to the Alpingrad glade, there are two more mountain camps in this area called "Tashkent" and "Black Stone".
