KazPI glade in the Left Talgar gorge

Mountain glades on routes in the mountains of Almaty -

Mountain hike from the Great Almaty Gorge to the Left Talgar gorge and back -

KazPI Glade (glade of the Kazakh Pedagogical Institute) is a mountain glade located at an altitude of 2,150 meters above sea level in the picturesque Left Talgar mountain gorge through which the beautiful Left Talgar mountain river flows. Glade is very popular among fans of outdoor activities and hiking in the mountains, as it is located on a mountain route called the "Great Almaty Circumnavigation" (4 days). To visit the clearing, it is not necessary to follow this route, you can just come here and stay for one or two nights. The route to the clearing can start from different places, for example, from the Butakov gorge through the Butakov mountain pass. You can also get to the clearing through the Big Talgar pass, which can be reached by the Medeo-Cimbulak cable car from the Medeo tract. From both passes it will be necessary to descend to the Left Talgar River later. The route is very interesting, it passes through a picturesque mountainous area and covers all kinds of natural attractions listed above. There are special places in the KazPI clearing where you can stay and set up a tent, as well as places to build a campfire. Water can be taken from a nearby stream or river, the water is absolutely clean, you can drink it without boiling water. We recommend that you hike to the clearing in the presence of a mountain guide who knows the area well and will offer you the best route.
