You can descend to the river from the Big Talgar mountain pass, and continue your route downstream along the river, visiting mountain meadows such as the "Alpine Rose meadow" and "Red Meadow". All these natural attractions belong to the Left Talgar mountain gorge. The Left Talgar River joins the Right Talgar River downstream and at the confluence of both rivers, the Talgar River begins. The name of all three rivers is associated with the city of Talgar, near which the river flowed through the territory of the Almaty region. Founded during the Silk Road era, this city was an important trading post, and the rivers of the region provided a livelihood for local communities. Left Talgar played a role in irrigating agricultural lands and remained a source of water for surrounding settlements. During the Soviet period, the river area became popular among researchers, geographers and tourists. Today, the Left Talgar River is not only a natural site, but also part of the cultural heritage of the region.
