Hiking to mountain peaks from Prokhodnoye gorge -
Peak Gigant (Giant) is a mountain peak located in the Kargalinsky mountain spur in the Trans-Ili Alatau Mountains at an altitude of 4250 meters above sea level and is the highest point in this area. This mountain attracts climbers, tourists and nature lovers with its beauty, difficulty of climbing and stunning views that open up from its top. The route to the peak starts from Prokhodnoye gorge along the route that passes through the Terra glade, difficulty category 1B, its duration can be from 3 to 5 days depending on your wishes and your physical fitness. Here, on the Terra glade, a base camp is set up, which will serve as a starting point. The second camp will be set up on the mountain plateau under the Oktyabr peak and from there we will climb the Giant peak early in the morning at 5 am.
