Mountain hikes to the Prokhodnoye gorge from Almaty -
Peak Pila (Saw) is a mountain peak, a natural landmark, a place for active recreation and mountain hikes, located at an altitude of 3780 meters above sea level in the Prokhodnoye gorge in its middle part next to the famous Terra glade. A mountain route leads to the top from the Alma-Arasan sanatorium along the Prokhodnaya River. Along the way, you will see such attractions as the Maiden Tears waterfall and the Terra glade. They usually stop at the glade for the night before climbing the peak, the whole journey takes three days. The first day is laid out on the route from Alma-Arasan to the Terra glade (4-5 hours, 7 km), the second day is allocated entirely for climbing Peak Pila (5-7 hours one way), and only on the third day after lunch they go down. People go to the top specifically to see the surrounding mountains and the area around the peak, the city of Almaty is completely visible from the peak, and a gorgeous panorama of the Bolshoy Almaty peak, Tourist peak, Alma-Arasan peak, Karnizny peak, Dzhusaly-Kezen pass and the Cosmostation opens up.
When hiking to Pila peak, be sure to use the services of certified mountain guides, they will prepare you for the hike, instruct you and safely lead you along the route. Do not go to the mountains alone, do not leave the path, do not go close to the cliffs, watch the weather and choose clear sunny days for your trip.
