Mud baths in Burabay Park -
How to improve your health at the Borovoe resort -
Among the pine forests, at the foot of rounded hills, in the silence and tranquility of the Burabay National Park, the mysterious and amazing lake Maybalyk stretches. It is not as well known to a wide range of tourists as Lake Borovoye or Lake Shchuchye, but its shores contain a power that is not found in other places – healing mud that gives health and relief to a tired body. Its waters are not used for bathing – here the main jewel is hidden under the surface: silty therapeutic mud saturated with minerals, salts and natural trace elements. The lake is located between its two large brothers, Lake Big Chebachye and Lake Maloe Chebachye. There is no tourist infrastructure on the lake, just a wild beach where you can camp. The healing mud itself is located in the eastern part where the lake narrows. The lake is 1.8 kilometers long and 650 meters wide at its widest point.

Information -
Since ancient times, the locals have known about the healing power of Maybalyk. Today, those who are looking for natural recovery come here – from skin diseases to joint and neurological ailments. The mud of the lake is actively used in the sanatoriums of the Shchuchinsk-Burabay resort area, and many come just to nature to gain strength, breathe in the coniferous air and touch the pristine. Now there are no sanatoriums and noisy resorts around the lake – Maybalyk remains wild, pristine and strong. This place is not for idle recreation, but for those who are looking for a real connection with nature. People come here to plunge into the water, get covered with healing mud, lie down in the sun and feel how the energy of the earth enters the body. The lake itself is shallow, the water in it warms up quickly in summer, and on clear days it becomes mirrored – it reflects clouds, pine trees and the endless sky. Grass grows along the banks, there is a smell of steppe and pine needles, you can hear the chirping of grasshoppers and the cries of birds. In spring and summer, it is especially beautiful here: blooming meadows, warm wind with the smell of pine trees and silence filled with life. In autumn, there is golden peace. And in winter, the lake falls asleep under a blanket of snow, but its power does not go anywhere – it just waits.
Lake Maybalyk is not just a point on the map. This is a place of power. Quiet water. The forest that whispers over the surface. The land that heals. If you are not looking for entertainment, but for peace and a touch of wildlife. This is a place where modern medical centers lose out to the centuries-old wisdom of the earth. It is said that after a course of procedures on the lake, not only back and joint pains disappear, but also a special surge of strength appears – as if the Kazakh land itself shares its energy with those who came to it for help.
