Jeep tour to Mount Akdym near Astana -
Among the vast expanses of northern Kazakhstan, in the silence of the winds and the free steppe latitude, Mount Akdym rises – lonely, ancient and majestic in its own way. It seems to guard the surrounding lands, as a silent witness to history, a natural shrine surrounded by secrets and tranquility. The height of the mountain is 901 meters above sea level, the mountain is part of the Buiratau National Park, and it is also one of the natural attractions in the Yerementau Mountains. From the top of the mountain, there is a beautiful panorama of the surrounding fields, woodlands, lakes in the distance and the endless Kazakh sky. Information -
The nature on Mount Akdym is modest, but special. At the foot of the mountain grow feather grass, wormwood, and rare herbs. In the spring, the hill comes alive – wild tulips bloom, and the aroma of the steppe fills the air. In the area, you can meet roe deer, hares, and pheasants. And eagles and kites often soar above the summit, as if observing the local peace from above. The climate in the mountain area is continental: hot summers, frosty winters. There are no tourist trails here. Only steppe eagles and rare travelers who are looking not for beautiful photos, but for real secrets, know the way to the mountain. When you stand on the top and look at the endless steppe, you understand that this mountain is not just a dot on the map. It is like an ancient sage who has been watching the change of eras for thousands of years, keeping silence. But if you listen ... if you really listen ... maybe it will tell its stories to those who are ready to hear them. Local shepherds tell how they hear strange sounds here during the full moon - either the howling of the wind in the stone crevices, or spirits whispering ancient spells. They say that if you climb to the top alone and spend the night there, you can see a "white horse" - a ghostly creature that gallops along the ridge of the mountain, guarding some unknown gate.
The best time for climbing and walking on Mount Akdym is from May to October. The weather here is changeable, like the mood of the steppe, but this is where the special beauty lies - a clear sky, wind, sun and stones underfoot create a real feeling of freedom. For those who are not looking for noisy resorts, but places of silence and strength, Mount Akdym will be a real discovery. There are no crowds of tourists, no asphalt paths, but the main thing is - living land, the breath of the wind and peace that cannot be bought. This is an ideal place for those who want to feel the real nature of Kazakhstan - not embellished, but real.
