In the very heart of the Akmola Region, among the endless expanses of the steppes, the Yereymentau Ridge rises majestically - ancient mountains (mountain system), keeping the breath of centuries, the power of the earth and a special silence in which the whisper of history is heard. This is the place where the steppe meets the stone, where spacious horizons merge with jagged slopes covered with wormwood, birches, pines and rare rocky ledges, like watchtowers. In the Yereymentau Mountains there are the so-called "Sokolinye Mountains", which are small, unusual and very beautiful rocky massifs that are a natural landmark, there are places for recreation, hiking routes, horseback riding, jeep tours and places for rock climbing. Information -
The climate in the Yereymentau Mountains is continental: it is frosty and snowy in winter, and warm, dry and sunny in summer. In spring, the steppe blooms with a carpet of flowers, among which you can find wild tulips, irises, field poppies. Not high by world standards (the maximum height is 947 meters above sea level), these mountains have amazing energy. Numerous springs with crystal clear water give these places a special charm - real oases in the stone kingdom. The air here is crystal clear, filled with the aromas of steppe grasses and pine needles. The fauna in these places also pleases with its diversity: in the mountains you can meet roe deer, foxes, hares, and sometimes even wolves. Eagles, kites, cranes, and steppe falcons furrow the sky. Yereymentau is a real paradise for lovers of nature, hiking, photo hunting, and meditation away from the noise of cities. Among the natural beauties, such peaks as Aksuat, Aiyrtau, and rocky massifs reminiscent of ancient fortifications stand out. The power of the earth and the connection with something eternal are felt everywhere here. According to legend, great batyrs roamed these places, and their spirit still hovers over the slopes, inspiring exploits and reflections. These places are a living chronicle of the Kazakh land. Ancient Turkic writings can still be seen on the stones, and ruins of settlements from the Bronze Age are hidden among the hills. Scattered throughout the territory, the Saka burial mounds keep the undisclosed secrets of the great nomads. Local aksakals willingly tell legends about the spirits of the mountains and treasures hidden in the caves, passing on the wisdom of their ancestors from mouth to mouth.
