The Left Talgar gorge is a part of the Almaty nature reserve, the gorge is the western part of the main Talgar gorge. The place is quite popular and often visited, the hike starts from the Big Talgar pass above the tour base Chimbulak. It is also possible to get to this area through the Butakovsky pass.
