Lake Dikoe is a small picturesque mountain lake, located at an altitude of 3449 meters above sea level, surrounded by the most beautiful mountains of the Zailiysky Alatau. The Dikaya River flows into the lake, which originates in a nearby mountain glacier, and this river also flows out of the lake. The length of the lake is 1 kilometer, the width is 30 meters, the lake is not expressed in a typical way, there are small islands that divide the lake. The perimeter of the lake is 250 meters, the area is 2900 square meters. A mountain route leads to the lake from the Prokhodnoe gorge through the Terra glade and from the Bolshoe Almatinskoe gorge from the Dzhusaly-Kezen pass, where the Cosmostation is located. Along this route, you will see the Big Almaty Lake and the Tien Shan High-Altitude Astronomical Observatory. Dikoe Lake is easily accessible and can be visited in one day if you start your route from the Dzhusaly-Kezen Pass or in two days if you go through the Prokhodnoe Gorge with an overnight stay at the Terra Glade. The lake has a second name as Lake Scotland, as it is marked on Google Maps.
