Organization of mountain climbing in the mountains of Almaty -
Mountaineering in the Small Almaty Gorge -
Yoshkar-Ola Peak - also known as Valery Khrishchaty Peak, a mountain rocky peak, located at an altitude of 3950 meters above sea level in the mountains of the Trans-Ili Alatau. The peak is very popular among fans of active recreation, hiking, mountaineers and rock climbers. The ascent to the peak begins in the Alpingrad mountain glade along the route to Amangeldy Peak. Along the way, you will pass such attractions as the Vorota Tuyuk-Su tract and the Mynzhilky tract.
The route to the peak is quite difficult, difficulty category 1B, runs along the southern slope of the mountain and is available all year round, but we recommend making your hike to the mountain in the summer, July, August, when there is a minimum amount of snow on the mountain. Also, to hike up the mountain, you need to have certain skills in working with special mountaineering equipment (rope, helmet, harness, carabiner, etc.) because there are very dangerous places before the summit where insurance is required.
From the top of the mountain, a beautiful mountain panorama opens up to the city of Almaty, Komsomol Peak (Nur-Sultan), Abay Peak, Tuyuksu Glacier.
How to get there and visit -
