Trekking to the mountains from the Mynzhilky tract -

Peak Maria is a mountain peak located at an altitude of 3640 meters above sea level in the Trans-Ili Alatau Mountains. The peak is very popular among fans of outdoor activities and mountain hikes, and on the way to the peak you can practice your rock-climbing skills, the peak is famous for its easy accessibility from the upper reaches of the Small Almaty gorge. The difficulty category of the route is 1A, and you also need to have the skill to work with special mountaineering safety equipment. The ascent to the peak starts from the Shymbulak high-mountain base, then you need to move along the road that leads to the Tuyuk-Su T1 glaciological station through the Gate-Tuyuk-Su tract. Before reaching the Mynzhilky tract, turn left and traverse the mountain towards the peak along the route laid here. From the top of the peak, a beautiful mountain panorama opens up to the Ile-Alatau Park and the Small Almaty River valley, you will also see Abay Peak, Yoshkar-Ola Peak, Tuyuksu Glacier, etc.

Peak Maria is located in the mountains in the area of the Vorota Tuyuk-Su tract, in the upper reaches of the Small Almaty Gorge, between Abay Peak and Oktyabrenok Peak, Medeu District, Almaty Region, Republic of Kazakhstan.
