Peak Tuyuk-Su (Tuyuksu) is a mountain peak located at an altitude of 4218 meters above sea level in the mountains of the ]Zailiysky Alatau. The peak is very popular among fans of outdoor activities, hiking and mountaineering. Please note that climbing the peak requires very good physical fitness, the same skill of working in a team, the skill of working with special mountaineering equipment, difficulty level 1B. The hike to the peak begins from the glaciological station Tuyuk-Su T1, which can be reached on foot or by car from the high-mountain base Shymbulak, through the Mynzhilki tract and the Vorota Tuyuk-Su tract. The route to Tuyuk-Su peak usually takes three days, on the first day they reach the moraine on the Molodezhny glacier, where an intermediate camp is set up for 2 nights. The next morning at 5-6 o'clock the ascent begins, which lasts 8-9 hours, through the Tuyuk-Su Mountain pass, then 4 hours are allocated for the descent from the summit (that is, a full day), then an overnight stay in an intermediate camp and on the 3rd day the descent to the city of Almaty. There is another route to Tuyuk-Su peak through the Left Talgar gorge, through which the Left Talagar River flows. This route can also take from 3 to 4 days.

Safety -

When hiking to the peak of Tuyuk-su (Tuyuksu), be sure to use the services of certified mountain guides. Mountain guides will prepare you for the hike, instruct you and safely lead you along the route. Do not go to the mountains alone, do not leave the path (route), do not come close to rocky cliffs, snow cornices, turbulent rivers and mountain lakes. Correctly calculate your physical strength for being in the mountains, if you feel unwell, be able to stop in time and turn back, inform the mountain guide about your condition. Watch the weather and choose clear sunny days for your trip. During the hike, always stay in a group so that everyone is always in sight of each other, always wait for those who lag behind. Do not walk in the mountains at night and in the dark. Plan your time in the mountains wisely, try to return in the afternoon before dusk and complete darkness, be sure to consult with mountain guides about this. Use special sportswear and equipment for hiking in the mountains. Do not go to the mountains in flip-flops, slippers and light soft shoes, take care of your feet, your feet should be protected by reliable mountain shoes for trekking and hiking with ankle fixation. Do not forget about altitude sickness and the need for acclimatization in a mountainous area for a further comfortable stay in the mountains. Also, in the spring (May) there are ticks in the mountains, we recommend not visiting the mountains during this period.
