Aleshkin Bridge is located at an altitude of 2720 meters above sea level on a mountain route in the Prokhodnoye gorge above the Terra glade (Vladimir Vysotsky glade). The crossing point and the bridge are named in honor of the tourist Alyosha Molchanov, who died here, who in 1987 was traveling here as part of a group and fell into the water while crossing the Prokhodnaya River. Alexey was the last in the group, the bridge at that time was unstable, very small and narrow. The water in the river rose at the end of the day and flooded the bridge, Alyosha lost his balance, slipped and fell into the river, the turbulent current carried away the young traveler. A memorial plaque was installed at the site, people always stop here to honor the memory of the young traveler.
The Prokhodnoye Gorge is very popular among outdoor enthusiasts, there are famous thermal radon springs above the Alma-Arasan sanatorium and a mountain route goes up the gorge. Above the water sources is the Maiden Tears waterfall, if you go higher, you will reach the Terra glade and the Vladimir Vysotsky glade. People usually stop at the glade for the night, spend time resting. The next day, from the glade, you can climb the Pila peak or move up the gorge to the Dzhsaly-Kezen pass, from which you can climb the Tourist peak or the Bolshoy Almatinsky peak. If you move further up the gorge, you can visit the Dikoye lake on the Dikaya river. These locations are also visited from the Bolshoy Almatinsky gorge, getting to the Cosmos Station by car. Along the way, you will see such sights as the Bolshaya Almatinka River, the Big Almaty Lake and the Tien Shan high-mountain observatory station.
