Pioneer Pass is a mountain pass located at an altitude of 3840 meters above sea level, in the mountains of the Trans-Ili Alatau, difficulty category 1B. The pass is very popular because it is located on a popular mountain route that leads to such mountain peaks as Pioneer Peak and Amangeldy Peak. This place attracts outdoor enthusiasts, climbers and travelers looking for solitude and inspiration among majestic landscapes. The first route goes along the Bogdanovich glacier and starts from the Big Talgar Pass. The second route goes through the Small Almaty Gorge, Alpingrad glade, lake#6 Manshuk Mametova and the Manshuk Mametova glacier. Hiking to the pass requires good physical fitness, the ability to work with special mountaineering equipment, and the ability to work in a team. Also on this route from the Bogdanovich Glacier along the way there may be ice cracks, rockfalls are possible, so be careful. From the pass there is a beautiful mountain panorama of such natural attractions as Manshuk Mametova Peak, Antikainen Peak, Patriotic War Peak, Mayakovsky Peak.

Pioneer Pass is located in the Zailiyskiy Alatau Mountains, in the middle part of the Small Almaty Gorge, Ile-Alatau Mountain Park, Medeu District, Almaty Region, Republic of Kazakhstan.
