A cozy corner with Turkish flavor on the Ishim River embankment -
A space for family recreation combining history and modern leisure -
Mustafa Kemal Ataturk Park, formerly known as "Seasons" (Vremena Goda), is not just a square, but a real portal between eras. Here, directly opposite the Turkish Embassy, the modern skater scene coexists with the mystical 10-meter bull of the "Zher-Ana" monument.
This is a place where the dense crowns of old trees create a "vacuum of silence," completely cutting off the hum of Tashenov Avenue. In May, the park turns into a pink cloud due to blooming apple trees, and in winter – into the only Snowpark in the center of the capital, where you can get on a snowboard without leaving the city.
The park became a standard of urban comfort after renovation: "smart" play areas under canopies and endless rows of hammocks appeared here. It is an ideal spot for those looking for aesthetics in details – from the mysterious Mobius strip to the monument to the poet Yunus Emre. If you walk along the embankment from the park, you will reach the Atyrau Pedestrian Bridge, which you can use to cross to the left bank of the Ishim River to the Astana Central Park.
Ataturk Park is a territory of comfort, where architectural forms and monuments to great thinkers coexist with modern workout areas and cozy hammocks.

History
The journey of this place from an ordinary "Seasons" square to an important diplomatic object began more than ten years ago. The installation of the Ataturk monument turned the park into a symbol of brotherhood between Kazakhstan and Turkey. A new chapter in the location's history opened in 2022, when the akimat carried out a total upgrade here, turning old alleys into a modern public space.
The appearance of the monument to Yunus Emre – a great 13th-century Sufi poet – is of particular importance. His figure added a deep philosophical subtext to the park. Today, these are not just paths and benches, but part of a large development strategy for Astana, where every square should have its own face and its own story connecting the past with the future.
Information
Ataturk Park features smart zoning in a small area. For children, entire play towns were built here under huge canopies (salvation from sun and rain), and for adults, cozy hammocks and arched swings were hung. Youth have occupied the professional skate park, where they hone tricks on scooters and BMX daily.
The winter season here is a separate story. The only Snowpark of its kind opens in the park, where you can go snowboarding right in the center of the city. There is equipment rental and instructors for beginners. In summer, the focus shifts to cycling and workouts. The park is fully illuminated with soft diode light, making it safe and pleasant to walk even late in the evening.
Detailed description of the object
The main feature of the park is its unusual decor. Here you can stumble upon mystical sculptures in a pagan style and a futuristic Mobius strip. The central point of attraction is the area around the main Christmas tree, where circular bench-swings are installed. It is an ideal place to get lost in thought while watching the flow of the Ishim.
Photographers love this place in May when the apple blossoms create a "pink cloud" effect. From the embankment, a magnificent view opens up of the skyscrapers on the left bank, including the famous "Grand Alatau." This creates a cool visual contrast: you are standing in a quiet shady park, and before you is a sparkling metropolis of the future.
Architecture
The style of the park can be called "natural minimalism." Wood and natural stone dominate the finish of the new zones, emphasizing the status of the greenest corner of the capital. The architectural dominant is the 10-meter "Zher-Ana" (Mother Earth) monument in the form of a giant bull with Queen Tomyris. This powerful combination of Turkic history and modern landscape design makes the park's architecture unique for Astana.
Legend
Locals believe that Ataturk Park possesses the magic of a "reset." There is a legend that if you walk under the decorative Arch while making a wish about traveling, it will come true within a year. And lovers look for the "lucky apple tree" here – it is believed that a couple who has a picnic under its branches will never quarrel.
The silence of this place, according to old-timers, heals urban bustle, returning internal balance to a person. They say that the spirit of Yunus Emre himself invisibly protects this garden, filling it with an atmosphere of love and poetry.
