Nature of Kazakhstan – the best places to relax and travel

Welcome to Kazakhstan -

Full range of services for organizing tours and excursions throughout Kazakhstan -

Kazakhstan is one of the few countries in the world where mountains, seas, deserts, canyons, forests, glaciers and the seashore can be seen within the same state.
Nature is the main attraction here – it shapes the travel routes themselves and creates the feeling of an expedition even on a short trip.

Kazakhstan has a huge natural heritage, including dozens of national parks and reserves, where rare animals and relict plants are protected. Tulips grow here, which gave rise to European varieties, and the wild Sievers apple tree, the ancestor of all apples in the world. These territories have become the basis of ecological and sightseeing tourism in the country.

Natural attractions of Kazakhstan:

Northern Tien Shan: Kolsai Lakes and Kaindy Lake
This region combines some of the most beautiful mountain landscapes of the country near the city Almaty. Kolsai Lakes are surrounded by coniferous forests and alpine meadows, and Kaindy Lake is known for its flooded forest, whose trunks rise directly from the clear water. This is one of the most popular routes for trekking and nature tourism.

Charyn Canyon
Charyn Canyon is one of the most impressive natural formations of the country near Alma Ata. Its stone towers, Valley of Castles and the Charyn River creates the feeling of an ancient city and a place carved by wind, time and water. The canyon is especially beautiful at sunset, when the rocks turn into fiery shades.

Mangyshlak and Ustyurt plateau is the Martian landscapes of Kazakhstan. White cliffs, stone towers, salt marshes, ancient necropolises and underground mosques create a unique atmosphere of a mystical and wild region, which is considered the most photogenic region of the country.

Caspian Sea
The west of Kazakhstan faces the largest inland sea on the planet. The coast of the Caspian Sea combines deserted beaches, rocky shores and an endless horizon of water. The port city of Aktau is located here, the only seaside resort in the country, from where trips along the Caspian landscapes begin.

Betpak-Dala Desert
Betpak-Dala is a harsh and fascinating world of rocky deserts and semi–deserts. One of the main migration routes of saiga antelopes, ancient antelopes that survived the Ice Ages, passes through here. This is the territory of a real wild steppe, where the primordial power of nature is felt.

Karagie Hollow
Karagie is one of the lowest places in Eurasia, located more than a hundred meters below sea level. The landscapes here look alien: salt marshes, cliffs, dry valleys and Martian shades of the soil. This is one of the most unusual natural places in Kazakhstan, where fans of extreme landscapes and photographers come.

The Aral Sea
The Aral Sea is one of the most dramatic and powerful places in Kazakhstan. Once it was a huge inland sea that fed entire fishing towns. Today, a salt desert stretches here, among which there are abandoned ships and ruins of ports. Traveling here is not only an introduction to nature, but also to history, which reminds us how fragile the balance between man and earth is.
